For decades, our Media Directory and Who's Who guides have been valuable resources for local communication professionals. Over time, we've heard from hundreds of practitioners that swear by our guides (which is better than being sworn at). The continuing popularity of these books is something we could always count on.
But there was something else we kept hearing, too. The suggestion that the guides could be even more valuable if they were offered digitally.
We took this under consideration. On one hand, we didn't want to mess with a winning formula that so many had a great appreciation for. On the other hand, we obviously were aware that our industry — and just about every industry for that matter — was becoming more digital by the day.
We're in the 21st century and we've been publishing these guides for 21 years, so it only seemed fitting to finally make the transition.
The digital switch offers a number of advantages. First, it's the same information you've always depended on. But now you can truly take it with you on your smart phone or laptop. It just makes it that much easier for you to connect with the media and elected officials you need to reach.
Secondly, the guides can now be updated. The drawback about the print editions was that when changes took place during the year, they quickly made some of the information out of date. Not anymore. Now, we're able to make changes on the fly, ensuring you continually have current information. Seamless updates — now that's user-friendly.
Third, the switch makes this offering much greener, which is an important consideration as well.
We hope our guides continue to meet your needs. Drop us a line to let us know what you think about the switch, or contact us to sign up for a subscription.
Better yet, send us a text!
